PLANT MURAL

In this type of  Murals Plants are grown inside a mesh. These Murals doesn't require  any special care.
They thrive well in manured soil.Occassional fertiliser spray is needed if you are planting any flowering plants

Wire Mesh is folded with wooden beading on both sides. On top cement have been plastered. For the bottom, sea-shells and marble stones are stuck. After painting .Four small holes  are madefor the plants. For a few weeks Mural is placed  under the shade.

I experimented by planting table rose. Here you can see  "syngoniums,Shefflora, variegated begonias.Baby'stears for the bottom. It needs trimming as it grows very rapidly

Upcycled Boxes

I have a habit of collecting all  sorts of card-board boxes from shoe boxes to Cereal boxes  hoping to dress up to store some  items in it.This summer I am happy I could able to find some time to dress them
This is an Marriage invitation card stuck on a cereal box to store Bindis

Shoe Box with a Marriage invitation card.

Paper weaving with the glossy magazine pages.

This one is a very beautful Marriage invitation card depicting "Meenakshi Kalyanam". Crackle medium effect is added for the border.I have attached two cereal boxes at the back of  the picture to store cutters, scissors, paints etc.

Still I have lot more greeting cards and huge card board boxes to work.Next time I am hoping to work with  the old cherished sarees and borders .What do you say? For that I have to prepare loads and KGs of pasting  gum I am just wondering how to prepare the home made fevicol. If you have an idea
Just give me a tip on preparing it..I will be back soon

Glass Mural

This Mural is painted on glass with indian ink, glass pieces are struck to a part of the painting.
Hand made marble  paper is pasted from the reverse side of the glass  which  gives a quick  background to the painting without having to paint it manually. Is in't easy ?
Just drop me a line if you happen to try this . I would be very pleased to visit your blog to see your work

All the best

Fresh flower arrangement

This is an miniature arrangment created with fresh jasmine branches. An old tray and a  plastic lid of  a "moisturiser" bottle  is used for holding the stems.

A tall container arrangment using wagneria flowers which is commonly known as 'Crab's Claw"

Fittonia leaves and Pentas flowers are added  as fillers for the arrangements. All the branches and flowers are from my garden.Cuttings and saplings which had been planted years ago is finally growing and blooming profusely tempting me to try more arrangements with different angles and perspective.

Recycled Calender

Recycling is always fun  but only if you have  some concrete  ideas to implement it.. At times the ideas will strike like short lightening, one had to grab that tightly  to implement otherwise the junk will continue to increase. This time I had  made up my mind to throw away the calender and all the junk which I had preserved thinking to do " something with it on some day" which never came..I have loads of calender and sequins borders,Bindis, Old necklaces, Ear-ring .Then one auspicious day lightening did occur I tightly  took a hard grip on it   to finish the project  on the same day!!!! . Lo and  behold  whole of bangalore could experience the lightening and short shower we had yesterday.I am pretty sure it is because of
my superfast  recycled calender

This is an old calender.I have pasted   few of my paintings which I  had gifted to friends and relatives long ago. Instead of  album I tried  to utilise my old ornaments, Bindis and greeting cards to create a scrapbook type layout

This is an oxidised antique necklace (pasted around the painting) which was my favourite once but had to discard due to the rashes it gave me
These are all very small paintings had been grouped into one single  photos with rice beads and kundans

With one gram gold  as a frame for the painting

Marble paper had been stuck as background and kundans are pasted for border.Still there are more things to be utilised I am sure I would do with little more short thunder showers/lightening which we all  need at times
Happy crafting always

Pencil Shading

This is a (water color) pencil shading created for a demo for senior citizens.I  have seen many people who can draw and shade  brilliantly but when coloring they  shy  away  saying it is a difficult task.

After coloring with the pencil , strokes are added with a wet brush.
Any  sketch can be made into a painting with the help of water color pencil. Just a little patience.
Hope you like this post. Do not forget to post your comments
